Bookselling for Pat Tanumihardja's Mortar and Pestle Class at Kampar!

H&H is honored to be the bookseller at Malaysian restaurant Kampar’s upcoming mortar and pestle class! Patricia Tanumihardja has previously co-hosted a storytime event at H&H for her children’s book Ramen For Everyone, and we’re excited to sell copies of Pat’s new book Mortar and Pestle: Classic Indonesian Recipes for the Modern Kitchen as well as her picture books and other cookbooks at this family-friendly cooking workshop.

Kampar is thrilled to host Patricia Tanumihardja, author of “Mortar and Pestle—Classic Indonesian Recipes for the Modern Kitchen” and Clay Kitchen Studio ceramicist Miki Palchick for an interactive family-friendly event. Kids (5 and older please) and adults alike will learn to make sambals and sauces the traditional way—with a mortar and pestle!

Tickets are $50 per adult/$15 per accompanying child (includes activity, a copy of the book, and light snacks inspired by the book). Miki’s handthrown mortars and pestles, and Pat’s picture books and other cookbooks courtesy of H&H, will also be available for sale.

*Cancellation policy: We allow cancellations and refund of deposit up until 24 hours before the start of the experience. Purchase of the tickets are for experience itself, not the act of dining in the restaurant. In the event of a cancellation within 24 hours or a no-show, guests will be charged the full cost of the experience, with no exceptions.
