Alessandra Villella, teacher to students and adults, literary lover, and an explorer of the arts will share the beauty and simplicity of poetry through an invigorating read aloud and marvelous movements. 

She will read from the enchanting compilation of poetry entitled Out of Wonder: Poems Celebrating Poets by author and poet Kwame Alexander. The poem “Majestic,” inspired by Maya Angelou, will be read aloud. Children and family will engage with the poem through movement and repetition ending with a discussion around what makes you majestic. Children, family, and caregivers will then participate in an art activity where each person can represent themselves and their marvelous majesty through different colors and materials! Alessandra invites you to wear the colors, hats, and clothes, or whatever you fancy that represents you! Come ready to share what makes you-YOU!
