Join us at February’s Sunday Story Time for a reading with Dr. LaToya Council, co-author of Love Without Bounds: An IntersectionAllies Book about Families, a joyful, heartwarming celebration of family in all its forms: multicultural families; LGBTQ+ families; adoptive families; single-parent and blended families; transnational families; families impacted by incarceration, detention, and deportation; chosen families; military families; and more.
Written by three accomplished women of color sociologists, Love without Bounds is a necessary resource to make sure all kids feel seen and loved for who they are in community with each other.
Dr. LaToya Council is an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Africana Studies at Lehigh University. Her research interests are race, gender, and class; work and family; health and wellness. LaToya’s current project focuses on heterosexual Black middle-class couples with children. In the book, LaToya explores their time use related to work, family, and personal wellbeing.
