Starting in October, H&H Books will be home to a regular interdisciplinary event series, expanding beyond a straightforward reading. Panel discussions on the overlap between music and poetry, a queer horror and costume night, a visual poetry reading, specialty cocktails and poetry slams, and more!
Come to our preview night on September 19th to learn more! Pay what you can $10-15
Our featured performers are visual poet Anuradha Bhowmik, hybrid writer Juliet Gelfman-Randazzo, and musician and mixed media artist Ntive Flora.
Ntive Flora is a Philly based soulful singer songwriter playing original music since 2009. Their music is rich and witty. As refreshing and intoxicating as lemonade with a shot of vodka. They play with words and rhythm that is all her own. Described as indie soul, they draw influences from classic soul to psychedelic to good old fashioned americana.
Juliet Gelfman-Randazzo lives in Philadelphia, where she curates the reading series Spit Poetry. She is the author of the poetry chapbooks "Heehee" (Ursus Americanus Press, 2024) and "DUH" (Bullshit Lit, 2022), and her work appears or is forthcoming in Joyland, The Offing, Poetry Northwest, The Rumpus, and The Cleveland Review of Books, among others. She can be followed @tall.spy (Instagram) and @tall__spy (Twitter) but she can never be caught.
